Congratulations to the Winter Drumline for a great season!

The Irondale Winter Drumline placed 15th (out of 53 groups in their class) at the WGI Percussion World Championships in Dayton, Ohio in April.

The Irondale Winter Drumline is in its 21st year of competition. The drumline is an extension of the Irondale Marching Knights program.

The original purpose of the winter drumline's conception was to train novice students for a marching band that was in its early stages.  The 2010 winter drumline show is entitled "In the Rain."  Musical selections include "Rain Dance" by Alice Gomez and Marilyn Rife, "Yellow after the Rain" by Mitchell Peters, and original compositions by Chad Friesleben.
